Some people bring a little sunshine with them. Through their energy, their kindness, and the way they care for others, they make the world around them feel warmer. Kenzie is one of those people.

Our daughter-in-law and the first addition to our family, Kenzie brought her own personality and joy into the story we were already building. That is one of the beautiful things about a growing family: each new person brings something that becomes part of who you are together.

Kenzie loves sunflowers, and they became the starting point for her soap. Their golden petals and earthy centers seemed a fitting reflection of her contagious energy, her love of life, and the caring heart beneath it all. There is something cheerful and welcoming about a sunflower—something that makes you pause and enjoy it. I wanted her bar to offer a little of that same feeling.

As I created Kenzie’s Sunflower Meadows, I thought about how to bring those qualities into its color, scent, and everyday use. Sweet orange gives the blend a bright, cheerful beginning. Lavender softens it, while cedarwood adds a warm, grounded note. Together, they reminded me of a peaceful meadow on a sun-filled day.

Carrot juice lends the soap its naturally golden color, with a darker, earthy swirl inspired by sunflower centers. Those details connect the bar to the flower she loves, while the creamy lather makes it something to enjoy in an ordinary moment.

For me, this soap is a celebration of Kenzie and the warmth she brings to our family. It is also a reminder of how much our everyday kindness can mean to the people around us. A welcoming word, a little enthusiasm, or a moment spent caring for someone can become the bright spot in their day.
